Rockshop 101
Play on Stage in a RockBand !!! Unlike other “Dance Recital” type Rock programs, where the focus is on the performance, ROCKSHOP is designed to give students the tools needed to learn the mechanics of what it takes to get a Rock Band to the stage!!
Instructor James Striffolino knows exactly what it takes to make a rock band work.

He has studied at Musicians Institute and then toured the world with national acts such as Wolfmother, Blondie, and The Lemonheads, to name a few. He gives students the lessons that can’t be “taught” in your private lesson, or learned practicing by yourself. Students that participate in Rockshop will gain confidence on and off the stage, and will take their playing to new heights!
Students are placed in bands according to skill level and their input is important. “I get to know everyone individually and base our song selection on what they are into, and at the same time push them towards new things that they may have not been previously exposed to. It’s cool to see these kids who may be a bit shy or nervous at first, develop and turn into these mini rockstars as the program unfolds.” Says James.
The Stage at Musicians Workshop is the perfect platform for the Rockshop program. Our Stage rivals some of the states top venues sonically and visually. Frank Rosania employee/technician oversees the soundboard duties and makes sure each rehearsal runs smoothly without any technical difficulties.
Rockshop is a 4 month program
with a 45 minute rehearsal once a week, and a Rock Concert at the end.
The bottom line is we make music,
friends, and Rockstars!
